TITLE: SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER
LOCATION: Bangalore and Mumbai
PURPOSE: The Senior Program Manager oversees a program team in successfully delivering our mentoring program. They are responsible for overall operational planning, oversight of program execution, achievement of program excellence goals, and people management and development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
OPERATIONAL PLANNING
Create and own the annual gantt for the Mentor To Go program.
Create detailed operational plans for sub-phases like Mentee Partner Sign-Up, Mentor Partner Sign-Up, Mentee Town Halls, Mentor Screening etc.
Creating the annual gantt with an appropriate distribution of work across time periods, ensuring work is divided in a way that is time and resource efficient.
OPERATIONS EXECUTION & OVERSIGHT
Provide program planning (quarterly & monthly) support.
Create detailed operational plans for mentee and mentor outreaches and selections that demonstrate strong understanding of partner timelines and strong stakeholder management.
Planning matching of the mentors and mentees in a timely & resource efficient way as per the gantt.
Planning for the support towards post-matching journey in a time and resource efficient way
Provide operational oversight to ensure program timelines and goals are met.
OPERATIONAL REPORTING
Timely internal reporting to identify trends, forecast program performance, and proactively address anticipated issues.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT
People management of a 5-7 member operations team
Recruitment for open roles
Ongoing performance planning and reviews
Ensuring overall engagement of the Mentor To Go team in alignment with Mentor Together’s HR practices and policies.
PROGRAM DONOR/PARTNER MANAGEMENT
Strengthening the relationship between the organisation (MT) and the partner/intermediary through strategically driven engagements beyond the funding relationship.
Accurately communicating and addressing the program donors & intermediaries’ needs or requests internally within the organisation.
Reporting to partners/intermediaries handled with the accuracy of required information and timelines.
PROGRAM FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Reviewing and approving programs expenses by the team in line with the SOP.
Guiding and supporting team in effectively managing the claim processing.
EXPERIENCES, SKILLS, & COMPETENCIES:
8 - 10 years of work experience, with at least 5 years of program management/program leadership experience.
Experience working with youth in employability/skilling, especially in working with higher education institutions, colleges, govt (where applicable).
Very strong analytical, planning, and forecasting skills
Comfortable with a range of software – excel, gantt charts, project management software
Highly detail oriented
Very strong oral and written communication skills
Comfortable leading a team that works in a fast-paced program, with a mindset to do new things and take risks.
